Hi, I'm the teacher who will personally be teaching the classes at Paperplanes. I've previously taught Mathematics at a tuition centre, managing classes of up to six students. Through private and small-group teaching, I've helped students make significant improvements, including two Secondary 2 students under the previous syllabus—one who progressed from F9 to C6 and another from E8 to A1.
Those experiences showed me that students often struggle for different reasons. Some need a clearer explanation, some need more guided practice, while others need someone to notice exactly where they are having difficulty.
That is why Paperplanes keeps each in-person class to a maximum of three students. The smaller setting allows me to spot mistakes earlier, ask more targeted questions, and give students closer guidance as they build confidence.
Paperplanes is designed primarily for Secondary 1 and 2 students taking G3 Mathematics who need stronger foundations or closer guidance. Strong G2 students may also be considered if they are comfortable learning at the G3 pace and level of difficulty. Students should be willing to participate, practise consistently, and keep up with the class schedule.
The programme is designed to help students prepare for their G3 Math end-of-year examinations by strengthening their understanding, approaching application questions more confidently, and reducing avoidable mistakes.
Students attend one 1.5-hour in-person lesson and one 1.5-hour online reinforcement lesson each week. The online lesson revisits and applies what was taught during the in-person lesson.
Yes. In addition to their fixed weekly lessons, students may join any other online reinforcement classes during the programme, including classes for the other secondary level, where the topics are relevant to them. Additional attendance is available for online classes only. As each in-person class is limited to three students, students should attend only their assigned physical lesson.
The trial lesson is available once for new students. If you continue with the 12-week accelerator programme, the $50 trial lesson fee will be credited towards the first 4-week block.
Payment for each 4-week block will be collected within the week before the block begins.
Yes, subject to availability. I’ll first check whether the student’s current topic coverage and foundation are suitable for the cohort, and whether they can follow the class' pace.
In-person lessons are held at a home-based learning studio in Tampines North, 5-6 minutes walk away from Tampines North Primary School. Online reinforcement lessons are conducted via Google Meet. The exact address will be shared after you message me on WhatsApp.
Message me on WhatsApp with your name, the student's secondary level, Math subject level (G2/G3), and the latest Math result. I'll reply within the day to discuss whether Paperplanes is a suitable fit.
Let's take the next step towards greater confidence in Math.
